January 2021 - Latest Coronavirus Update
Updated 9am Tuesday 5th January - Following the government announcement of a National Lockdown.
In light of the recent government update and subsequent restrictions, from today all regular academy classes will be suspended until we are permitted to re-open.
To ensure our members don’t miss out on consistent cycling support and education, we are restarting the Clancy Briggs LIVE virtual learning academy in place of regular face to face classes.
When we ran these sessions back in November, they were really successful and we received great feedback.
The sessions will run in 30 minute or 1 hour slots using the Zoom platform and just like last time we’ve got an exciting list of classes & activities lined up.
There will be a mix of slots suitable for all ages and abilities covering a wide variety of topics, including Q&A sessions, stretching & exercise classes, maintenance sessions & we’ll even have special guests like Ed Clancy OBE dropping in and giving talks.
All sessions will be led by our regular academy coaches & it goes without saying, we’re committed to providing the same quality of coaching as our regular classes, one that allows the youngsters to learn and develop while having fun and interacting with like-minded peers.
Included with the online academy we’re offering all members and / or their parents the opportunity, if they wish, to book a 1:1 Zoom call with any of our coaches. It could be to discuss a child’s progress or to ask for specific advice on anything cycling related.
For all classes you’ll need to book in advance (by emailing [email protected]) if you’re planning on attending so we can give you the room code and know to expect you in the chat.
In your booking email we’ll need the rider’s name, the parent’s name and your Zoom profile name. If you don’t already have one, you can create a Zoom account for free here
For your usual membership fee, you’re welcome to attend as many classes throughout the week as you want. Just remember that the classes are age specific, so please ensure that if you’re attending multiple classes they’re the appropriate ones.
Every Friday we’ll release the schedule for the week after – this way we can continue to improve and tailor the sessions we’re offering (if there’s anything you’d particularly like us to cover please let us know!).
