What Makes the Clancy Briggs Pedal Camps Special?

Cycling isn’t just about riding a bike; it’s about gaining confidence, learning skills, and staying active in a fun and engaging way. Here’s what your child can look forward to during our camps:

Skill-building activities: From navigating ramps to balance and coordination games, we tailor our sessions to suit all skill levels.

Making new friends: Kids will ride alongside others in their age group, fostering teamwork and camaraderie.

Fun-focused coaching: Our friendly coaches are experts at making learning enjoyable, ensuring that every child feels encouraged and supported.

What if my child can't ride unaided?

We're running two groups, a pedal group for riders already confident enough to ride without assistance & a learn group for those currently unable to do so.  Separate booking links can be found below.

What equipment do i need?

  1. Working bike & helmet – this doesn’t have to be a high-end model but must be of good quality suitable for advanced off-road terrain and in good working order. Helmets must of appropriate size/fit for the rider & must be in good condition (no cracks) If you’re not sure if your bike is sufficient then feel free to contact us on [email protected] & our coaches can advise you further.
  2. Warm clothing and waterproofs. You can’t have enough of these even if the weather looks great, we’ll be outside all day and once cold or wet it’s hard to warmup again.
  3. Snack/drink. Cycling is hard work, so high energy snacks (bananas, flapjacks and jelly babies are popular) & a drink are things we suggest you bring.
  4.  Gloves – cold hands are horrible. Crashing without gloves is also unpleasant.
  5.  Sun cream.

Why Cycling is Fantastic for Kids

Cycling isn’t just fun—it’s packed with benefits that can positively impact your child’s health, confidence, and overall well-being. Here are just a few reasons to get them pedalling:

  1. Boosts physical fitness: Cycling improves cardiovascular health, strengthens muscles, and builds endurance.
  2. Encourages independence: Mastering new skills on a bike gives kids a sense of freedom and accomplishment.
  3. Supports mental health: Outdoor activity helps reduce stress and improve mood—perfect for balancing busy school schedules.
  4. Improves coordination: Manoeuvring a bike enhances balance, motor skills, and spatial awareness.
  5. Eco-friendly mindset: Cycling introduces kids to sustainable ways of getting around.
