Sherwood Campsite Sessions
We’re really excited to be running some sessions from Sherwood Pines Campsite for guests & we wanted to explain a little about who we are & what the sessions will entail.
We’re Clancy Briggs cycling academy, a cycling academy focused on getting people out enjoying riding their bikes & inspiring the next generation of young cyclists. We’re all about fun, skills acquisition, making friends & unlocking the adventure & sense of freedom that cycling can bring.
These Sherwood Pines Campsite mountain bike sessions are aimed at teaching youngsters a range of cycling skills. It really is cycling for everyone, all you need is a interest in riding a bike & having fun! We’ll be running 2 groups, our “blue group” for younger riders (6-10 suggested age) and our “red group” for older riders (10-16 suggested age”.
At the sessions in both groups we’ll be focused on teaching off road skills & techniques in a fun, engaging manner. We’ve got some fantastic pieces of equipment (from Timberfly ramps & Sender ramps) that we use to create skills challenges and courses.
The blue group will start off with some more basic skills (think body position, slow bike control & weight distribution) before progressing. The red group will be a further step, starting with some more
advanced skills before again progressing things to challenge riders.
If you’re not sure which group is right
for you, don’t worry, both groups will have plenty of room for a range of
abilities & within each session everything is progressive, so you won’t be
pushed to do anything you don’t feel comfortable with – it’s all about having
fun.
