Youth Racing Opportunities 2022
We’ve previously written a blog all about how to get started road racing, but once you’ve got yourself setup & ready to go where can you go to race? In this blog we’ve put together some information on a few of the local (ish) to Doncaster, race series for youth riders. We’ve also listed the dates of the National series.
Where can I find details of races?
The best place to go in order to find details of races is the British Cycling Events page, here you can search and filter by category, age distance etc to find the races that suit you. There are lot’s of races up on the events page & the list is constantly changing/updating, below we’ve selected a few of the best known to us.
Midweek Series
White rose youth league What? - Grassroots Circuit racing for youths on closed road circuits for age categories :-Under 8 (E), Under 10 (D) , U12 (C), U14 (B) and U16 (A). Where? -Multiple venues When? – Wednesday & Thursday evenings throughout the Summer. Britishcycling page
Mallory Park Road race League What - The Mallory Park road race league is a 13-race series that takes place on Tuesdays throughout the summer. HH Crit Series What? – The HH circuit series takes place on the edge of Nottingham on selected Wednesdays, with a Youth A race starting at 18:00. Where? – Harvey Hadden Sports Village, Wigman Road, Billborough, Nottingham, NG8 4PB When? – Wednesday evenings. Britishcycling page
The Spatzwear Rayner Foundation Friday Night Races What? – Youth A & B racing on Friday evenings in Leeds. A series of races to make use of the long summer nights and raise funds for the Rayner Foundation, supporting young riders to give racing a go in Europe. Full chip timing and prizes for the first 3 riders in each race. ZipVit/Lichfield CCC Youth Races at Curborough

Lincolnshire Criterium Racing League

National Youth Circuit Series 2022
The National circuit series is the highest level of Road racing for youths in the country, events are spread across the country but if you get chance to enter a local round then it’s often worth the effort, even if it’s just to experience the feel of a bigger event. Remaining National series below…
